Type of Employment: Full time, permanent, 6 days a week (as required); and some additional hours which may include Sundays, depending on workload and priorities.
Job Responsibilities and Accountabilities:
Routinely monitors, verifies and provides direction to the Quality team on their accuracy of finished product reporting and alignment with customer specifications
Ensures all quality specifications are accurate and being utilized by employees while performing quality duties
Ensure compliance with all Standard Operating Procedures pertaining to input and output quality of finished products, packaging and labelling, and shipping of fresh produce
Identify and communicate any issues to management
Act as liaison between Production Supervisors and Line Leaders that lead the QA repack lines
Ensure compliance with USDA and CFIA policies and procedures
Responsible for directing the workflow for the Repack Quality team
Provide coverage within the Quality Department when needed
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Minimum 1 year of experience within the produce industry
Must have strong time management skills with emphasis on meeting deadlines
Highly energetic and assertive with strong leadership skills
Excellent interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills
Experience with HACCP is considered an asset
Secondary language skills are considered an asset
Compensation: $24.00 / hr
Working Conditions
Greenhouse and packing facility environment with variable temperature and humidity
Regular standing, walking, bending and lifting up to 25 kg with proper technique
Personal protective equipment provided and required at all times on the floor
Six-day schedules and occasional Sundays during peak season, based on crop volume
